What we need is a revolution
The world needs changing, everyone knows that. But instead of getting better, it seems like it's going to hell on a handcart.
It's good that people want to change the world, feed the hungry, house the homeless, empty the jails of the wrongly imprisoned. But why does it go wrong so often?
Is it because people try to make a revolution, without having a revolution in their own hearts?
God said, in the book of instructions called the Bible, that a building where he isn't the foundation is bound to fall. And he sent us his Son, to show us what a real revolutionary is like.
Jesus kicked out the money-changers from the temple. But he also healed the sick. And we need that healing, before we can heal the world.
Because it's his world. He gave it to us, and we've made an unholy mess out of it. That's because we keep trying to run it without him.
It's not our world. We've got it on loan. And one day he's going to ask us what we thought we were doing, ruining it for everyone. How are we going to answer him?
