Religious people are no good

Religion kills more people than cancer. In Bosnia. In Northern Ireland. People who think they know what God wants, and try to force other people to agree.

God speaks to all of us, personally, and we don't need anyone to tell us what he is saying, because we can ask him ourselves.

It's not that religious people are any worse than the rest of us, because we all tend to think we know what's best for other people. We need to concentrate on getting our own lives right, before we start giving orders to other people.

Jesus said, get that brick out your eye before you talk about the speck of dust in someone else's.

Religious people crucified Jesus, because they said he was breaking the rules of their religion. It's true that God gave us rules to live by, and they are good rules, but obeying the rules never got anyone into heaven. The Bible says that no one is good enough to do that.

Only God can get you into heaven, because he's the only one that's perfect. And he sent us his Son to show us the way to be like him.

By loving him. And learning from him how to obey his rules.
