'I did it my way'
– and look what a mess we've made of it
It's not surprising people behave as if they're blind, because we all suffer from I-strain. It's me, me, me, all the time.
Frank Sinatra had a huge hit with 'My Way', and we still like to sing along in our hearts, even if we're tone deaf.
What's so great about doing it our way? Look at what it's done for us, the way it's messing up our world. Even when we try to fix things, they just get worse.
Are we doomed? Yes, we are, unless we do something about it.
We can admit we don't know the answer, and start asking for someone greater than us to help us find it.
There's been an answer for two thousand years, if we'll only see it. God came to earth as a man, suffered and died like we do, and paid for all our misdeeds.
Jesus shows us a better way than 'My Way'. His Way.
