You can't get into Heaven
Not on your own.
Human beings are natural rebels. We don't like being told what to do. We think we can work it out for ourselves.
Religious people are the worst. We think that if we do certain things, pray certain prayers, bow in certain directions at certain times, refuse certain foods, read certain books, observe certain rules, that this will make us good enough for God.
Nothing will make us good enough. The rules are mostly good rules, there are foods (and drinks!) that are bad for us, it's good to bow our heads humbly in worship. But that's not the whole answer.
Jesus told his followers that he is the answer. He will help us through our lives, and if we trust him, he will stand beside us on the Day of Judgement, and speak for us to his Father.
We may not like it, but we've got to serve somebody.
It could be our Creator, the one who made us, and loves us so much he died for us. Or it could be the enemy of us all, who wants to condemn us all to eternal death. Choose life – and the lifegiver. Millions are doing it every day.
