Seder (SAY-d'r) The Jewish family home ritual, part of the Passover observance, performed on the first two nights of Pesach.

Kaddesh, Urechatz,
Karpas, Yachatz,
Maggid, Rachtzah,
Motzi, Matzah,
Maror, Korech,
Shulchan Orech,
Tzafun, Barech,
Hallel, Nirtzah

Explanations: Kaddesh: Sanctification.

Urechatz: Washing.

Karpas: Vegetable (usually parsley, dipped into salt water, symbolising tears).

Yachatz: Breaking.

Maggid: The story of the Exodus from Egypt and the first Passover.

Rachtzah: Washing. Motzi: Blessing over grain products.

Matzah: Blessing over Matzah.

Maror: Bitter herbs (usually horseradish, symbolising the bitterness of slavery).

Korech: The sandwich.

Shulchan Orech: Dinner.

Tzafun: The Afikomen (last food of the meal).

Barech: Grace after meal.

Hallel: Praises.

Nirtzah: Closing (Next year in Jerusalem!)
